To fulfill the vision of making agriculture a profitable business, to use advanced technology for agriculture, to fulfill the objective of increasing the income of farmers and to make the farmers of the state self-reliant, Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana has been started from the month of September 2022. Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana has been started by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for all the poor farmers of MP. The objective of this important scheme is to improve the economic condition of the farmers and provide them sufficient amount for farming. Many times farmers need money to maintain farming, for which Kisan Kalyan Yojana has been started.

Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana is to fulfill the concept of making agriculture a profitable business, to use advanced technology for agriculture, to fulfill the objective of increasing the income of farmers and to make the farmers of the state self-reliant.

Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana is a scheme run by the Madhya Pradesh government, which provides financial assistance to farmers. Under this scheme, a total of Rs 8,000 is given to farmers in two installments of Rs 4,000 each per year. The scheme was started on September 25, 2020, on the birthday of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji.

Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana Eligibility 

1. Applicants must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
2. Applicants must be farmers.
3. The applicant should be registered under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
4. Applicants should have cultivable land in which they are farming.
5. Applicants must be poor farmers so that they can get financial assistance for farming.
6. The name of the farmer should be recorded in the land records of the Agriculture Department.
7. The farmer should have ownership of his land.
8. The age of the farmer should be more than 18 years.
9. The farmer’s family should not be below the poverty line.

Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana Not Eligibility 

All Institutional Land holders along with other farmer families which belong to one or more of the following categories are not eligible.

• Former and present holders of constitutional postsFormer and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha / RajyaSabha / State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
• All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)
• All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs. 10,000/-or more (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of above category
• All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year
• Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practice

Following are the benefits available under this scheme:

• A total of Rs 8,000 is given to farmers in two installments of Rs 4,000 each per year.
• The amount received under this scheme is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the farmers.

2. Applicants can also get the application form from the village Patwari office in their area.
3. Fill out the application form.
4. Attach the necessary documents
5. Submit the application form and all the necessary documents to the Village Patwari.
6. Village Patwari will get the application approved and applicants can receive the confirmation through the given mobile number and email id.

2. Aadhar card.
3. Documents related to agricultural land.
4. One of the following documents for domicile:-
   1. Basic address proof.
   2. Voter ID Card.
   3. Electricity bill.

Beneficiary Selection Process

The eligibility conditions under PM Kisan Scheme will be applicable for the scheme, which are as follows:- 2.4.1 Land owners of higher economic status will not be eligible for benefits under this scheme which are as follows:-

i. All institutional land-owners; And

ii. Farmer families having one or more of the following category of members:-

(a) Former and presently holding constitutional posts,

(b) Former and presently holding Ministers/Ministers of State, Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha/State Assembly/State Former/present members of the Legislative Council, past and present Municipal Mayors, past and present District Panchayat Presidents. 

(c) All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/State Government Ministries/Offices/Departments and its field units, Central or State Public Undertakings and attached offices/autonomous institutions and regular employees of local bodies under the Government. (Except Multi Tasking Staff/Class IV/Group D employees)

(d) All retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/- or more. (Except Multi Tasking Staff/Class IV/Group D employees of Category 2.4.1(c) above). 

(e) All persons paying income tax in the last assessment year. 

(f) Are persons registered with or practicing professional bodies such as Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants and Architects.

Progress of the Yojana

• Launch of the scheme: Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana was started in 2023.
• Budget of the scheme: A budget of Rs 50,000 crore has been allocated for this scheme in 2023-24.
• Beneficiaries of the scheme: The beneficiaries of this scheme are all farmers, irrespective of the category of their land.
• Benefits of the Scheme: Under this scheme the following benefits are provided to the farmers:
• Grant of Rs 2,000 per hectare to farmers
• Agricultural equipment at up to 50% subsidy to farmers
• Crop insurance at up to 50% subsidy to farmers
• Agricultural loans to farmers at up to 50% subsidy
• Agricultural research and development at up to 50% subsidy to farmers

When will the Chief Minister transfer the money to the farmers?

Now, from the financial year 2023-2024, approval has been given to pay a total of Rs 6,000 to the eligible farmers in three equal installments in the period from 1st April to 31st July, 1st August to 30th November and 1st December to 31st March.

When will Rs 2000 come to the farmers’ accounts?

The third installment of Paisa was released on February 27, 2024. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the government releases an amount of Rs 2,000 to farmers every three months.
